Jake didn't know I could be so crafty...

Ever since Jake and I got our new furniture we have been in need of coasters in order to avoid those nasty glass rings. I have been totally insistent on MAKING things for our apartment and I discovered these guys here only I added my own twist to them. Here is the finished product.

Now the test will be to see our well decopouge holds up!

  1. I've been meaning to make some coasters for a long time! I went to the link and it seems easy enough... which is good for me, not being very crafty! They turned out great. Thanks for the idea. :)

Also, I don't know if you watch the Bachelor, but some of us girls are getting together to watch the finale at Camille's house tomorrow night. Maybe she's already told you about it, but if not, you should come!

  2. What time does the Bachelor start? I've never actually watched it and Jake and I don't really have too many stations on TV! Pretty much all we've been able to watch is Judge Judy! Camille, actually didn't tell me about it, but I think that I am going to be a sub at Bunco tomorrow so I should see you there!

  3. It starts at 8 and is two hours. There were a couple seasons that I didn't watch either but since there always seemed to be a "finale party", I'd usually go and try to catch up fast! :) So anyway, it's kind of an open invitation sort of thing, so if you want to come she lives at 299 Huxley in Cheektowaga. It's a couple streets away from our house.

I'm glad you're going to bunco. Also, book club is meeting on Thursday at 8pm at Rachel Shaw's house. ( I know, busy week!) The book was Inventing Niagara ( I only read a chapter), so if you want to come, don't feel bad if you didn't read it. Most of the time everyone just chats and then finds out the book for the next month. Rachel's pick.

  5. Whitney,

Those coasters are amazing!!!! I'm not sure if you're into painting pottery or not, but me and some of the other dental school girls are going to be painting pottery at this place on Hertel Wendesday night if you're free! I'll facebook you.

Joy (ps. we met at the mall once, I'm one of Jake's classmates!)

  10. I found your blog! I am going to add it to my blog roll. I love these coasters. I could never make something so cute, but I will pass the link on to my sisters--they are crafty like that. :)
